Revlok Mezzanine Floor FAQs

If you are considering installing a mezzanine floor structure in your warehouse or place of work, you may not have thought that you have options, other than the traditional selection. At Doity Engineering Ltd, we manufacture our own unique mezzanine floor, Revlok Mezzanines.

What is a Mezzanine Floor?

Mezzanines are semi-permanent structures, which act as an intermediate floor in-between the main floors of your building. These structures are often fabricated from steel beams and columns which are fitted together to make a raised platform. As they can be of all shapes and sizes, they are extremely versatile, cost-effective and require minimal installation time.

What Can Mezzanine Floors Be Used For?

As they can be installed in a range of buildings, including warehouses, houses, offices and commercial spaces, mezzanines also have an extensive range of uses. Whether you’re looking for storage space, an additional office or a mezzanine in your home, Revlok structures are a great option.

What Is The Difference Between Revlok & Other Mezzanine Floor Structures?

Revlok Mezzanine floors are manufactured from cold-rolled steel beams and are a modular structure, rather than being made from structural steel, making them much easier to install. However, Revlok Mezzanines are just as secure as traditional mezzanine floors. They also take less time to install and fewer nuts and bolts are required for the installation.

Revlok Mezzanine floors are the only LABC certified modular mezzanine floor in the UK. This means you can only receive approved modular mezzanine floors from Doity Engineering Ltd.

What is The Process of Revlok Mezzanine Floors?

Before manufacture and installation, Revlok Mezzanines are designed based on the unique demands and requirements of our clients. The mezzanine floor is designed with 2D and 3D graphics. After designs are approved, we manufacture Revlok Mezzanines using cold-rolled steel beams at our local facility. Once we’ve completed the design and manufacturing process, our team will install your Revlok Mezzanine floors too. As they are much lighter and easier to install, they require less time and manpower, so you can enjoy your mezzanine floor structure as quickly as possible.

What Do I Need Before My Revlok Mezzanine is Installed?

As all of our floor structures are designed to your requirements, firstly, we will begin by surveying and assessing your site, this will allow us to perform key assessments and ensure we can design the best Revlok mezzanine.

Will I Need Building Regulations & Who is Responsible?

Building regulations approval needs to be considered when constructing a warehouse mezzanine floor or any other mezzanine structure. Revlok Mezzanines are LABC certified and comply with building regulations, so we do fill out these surveys by default. It is good practice to choose a mezzanine floor manufacturer who does this, so you know that the construction is trustworthy.

Can I Have A Multi-Tier Structure?

Yes! Provided there is adequate space and floor tile stability for construction, Revlok Mezzanines can have staircase fittings and be multi-tier.

Does My Mezzanine Floor Require Disabled Access?

This is entirely dependent on the uses for your Mezzanine flooring. If it is for storage, you may not need to. However, if this space is going to be used by people within the building regularly, such as a canteen or office space, then you’ll need to consider access requirements.

What Are The Health & Safety Regulations?
