At Doity Engineering, we specialise in designing, manufacturing and installing warehouse mezzanine floors. As the creators of the UK’s only modular mezzanine floor to carry LABC certification, we’re able to offer mezzanines in the most efficient way possible.
In an industry where maximising your profitability and efficiency is dependent on you making the most of all of your available space, there will always be a requirement for solutions like mezzanine floors.
The high-ceilings that you find in most warehouses are one of the reasons that mezzanine floors are particularly well suited. They enable you to be able to convert vertical “dead space” into more floor space, without compromising too greatly on the space beneath the mezzanine.
Mezzanine floors are commonly used as storage platforms, allowing you to increase the storage potential of your facility. Another common application is as office space, removing the cost of a second premises to house administration staff. Both of these uses have a significant impact on the efficiency of your business.
Every floor should be bespoke designed to suit the unit it is being installed in and to ensure that it is able to bear its load safely.
At Doity Engineering, our team of designers offer a free no-obligation site survey, where they’ll visit your premises and assess your requirements. They’ll consider additional features you may require, such as pallet gates and also the load capacity, to produce a suitable design. As part of our design process, we’ll provide you with CAD drawings that can be used to gain building regulations approval.
One of the many benefits of working with Doity engineering is our ability to handle every aspect of your project in house, including its manufacture. This gives us greater control and visibility over the timeline of your project, reducing the chance that you will encounter delays and allowing us to offer better communication and customer service.
Doity Engineering has created our very own revolutionary mezzanine floor system, Revlok. Rather than relying on RSJs, nuts and bolts, our manufacturing process utilises cold-rolled steel sections and a keyhole locking system. By utilising these methods, we’re able to produce a strong and reliable structure that is lighter, easier and quicker to install than traditional systems. All of this is achieved without compromising on quality; all of our products carry CE marking and we are ISO 9001 registered, demonstrating the high standards that we hold ourselves to.
When it comes to installation, you want to ensure that business interruption is kept to an absolute minimum. It is at this stage that the Revlok really comes into its own. The reduced weight of the rolled steel sections that we use and the absence of nuts and bolts allow two installers using podium steps to install your floor in as little as 50% of the time that a traditional system would take. This ensures that we minimise the disruption caused on your premises.
